Next, experience the art of weaving at Sukarara Village. Situated south of Cakranegara in the Jonggot district, this village is the heart of Lombok’s traditional hand-woven fabric production by the Sasak tribe. Weaving is an integral part of daily life for Sasak women. Learn about the intricate process of creating Sasak traditional woven fabric, a tradition passed down through generations. Gain insight into how techniques, patterns, and motifs have evolved over time to craft each individual masterpiece.

Continue your journey to Sade Village, a traditional Sasak village. Here, you will observe traditional Sasak life and the unique houses with “alang-alang” roofs built from a mixture of soil and cow dung.
